Ingredients

  • 12 Hard boiled eggs
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • Gel food coloring
  • 16 oz Cool Whip

Instructions

  • Soak your hard boiled eggs in a bowl with the vinegar for 10-15 minutes. Pat dry with a paper towel. *See notes*
  • Add whipped cream to the muffin tin or a baking sheet.
  • Add a few drops of gel food dye into each muffin tin well or more food dye if using a large baking sheet.
  • Swirl the whipped topping and food dye mixture. Be careful not to overmix so the colors don't blend together too much and you can still see a swirl pattern.
  • Add your eggs to the cool whip mixture and coat completely.
  • Let your eggs sit for 15-30 minutes in the mixture. To create brighter eggs, allow them to sit for the full 30 minutes or longer, just place in the refrigerator until you're ready!
  • Wash gently with water and pat dry.
  • Enjoy your beautiful Easter eggs!

Notes

Soaking your eggs in the vinegar is optional, but soaking will produce more vibrant colors on your eggs.
Liquid food dye will work for this as well, it will also produce more pastel colors. Gel food coloring will yield the brightest colors.
Hard boiled eggs will last for 7 days in the refrigerator.
