Ingredients

  • Bananas
  • Favorite toppings such as graham crackers mini marshmallows, caramel sauce, peanut butter chips or peanut butter, crushed up candy bars, cool whip, strawberries, butterscotch chips, coconut flakes

Instructions

  • 1. Lay a sheet of tin foil, large enough to wrap around the banana a few times, on your table
  • 2. Slice your banana peel length wise with knife
  • 3. Cut your banana in small sections like the photo below
  • 4. Add in your favorite toppings that you want melted or warm in the open slit of banana
  • 5. Wrap your banana boat with the aluminum foil by bringing the 2 ends up, rolling down towards the banana and then folding the ends in
  • 6. Place your foil packet over hot coals, you want your fire to be medium heat
  • 7. Cook for about 5 minutes- cook time varies depending on the heat of your fire- you can check on your banana boat intermittently if needed
  • 8. Remove from fire and unwrap the foil
  • 9. Add any other toppings you would like and enjoy!

Notes

Your cook time can vary depending on how hot your fire is and how close your banana is to the flames. It is recommended to have someone dedicated to manning the fire and foil packets so they can keep track of cook time and check the banana boats intermittently.
