Equipment

  • Reynolds Wrap Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil, 50 Square Feet (Packaging May Vary)
  • 932℉ Grill BBQ Gloves 16-inch Heat Resistant Leather Forge Welding Glove with Flame Retardant Long Sleeve and Insulated Lining for Men and Women Black-Gray
  • Aluminum Pans with Lids (50-Pack, 8.5"×6") 2.25 LB Capacity Foil Food Containers with Lids - 50 Pans and 50 Cardboard Covers - Disposable Tin Foil Pans - for Baking, Meal Prep and Freezer, Takeout

Ingredients

  • Foil pan
  • Aluminum foil
  • Tortilla chips
  • Shredded cheese
  • Salsa
  • Sour cream
  • Meat ground beef, chicken & ground turkey are all good options
  • Nacho toppings like green onions refried beans, red onion, green chiles, fresh cilantro, lime juice, black olives, black beans, pico de gallo, jalapeno slices, roma tomatoes

Instructions

  • 1. Take your foil pan and add a layer of tortilla chips
  • 2. Add your toppings that you want warm (we like to leave the sour cream & salsa off until the end) and top with a layer of cheese
  • 3. Cover your pan with a sheet of aluminum foil, make it loose so that the melted cheese doesn't stick to the top of it
  • 4. Place over hot coals for 2-5 minutes, checking the pan every few minutes- cook time can vary depending on how hot your fire is
  • 5. Take off and remove top foil and add additional toppings
  • 6. Enjoy!

Notes

It is fun to let each person have individual tin pans to make their own nachos in
These cook fast and the chips can burn. We like to check our nachos every few minutes to make sure this doesn't happen
Cook over low flame with medium heat
Use flame resistant gloves to help get the pan out of the open flame
