Pressed Flower Bookmarks

Make your own homemade bookmark with pressed flowers - A fun and easy nature craft for kids and adults!

Equipment

Supplies Needed
  

  • Pressed Flowers
  • Scissors
  • Hole Punch
  • Ribbon
  • Gold Leaf Flakes – Optional

Instructions
 

  • Cut out a piece of contact paper in the shape you would like your bookmark. The bookmark dimensions we used were roughly 2 inches wide by 6 inches long. 
  • Add your pressed flowers to the sticky side of the contact paper.  If desired you can also add some gold foil along with your flowers in this step.
  • Cut out another piece of contact paper slightly bigger than the previous one.  Remove the backing and stick it on top of the contact paper with the flowers pressing along all the edges.
  • Trim your excess contact paper so they are the same size.
  • If desired, you can use a hole punch to create a hole on the top of your bookmark and tie on a ribbon.
  • Your pretty bookmarks are ready to use!

Notes

You can use many types of flowers, just make sure they are completely dry and flat.  They need to be flat to allow the contact paper to stick together well. 
Smaller flowers work best for this project.  You could also use pressed leaves or herbs in your arrangements!
