How to Make a Butterfly Suncatcher

Add a piece of contact paper to the construction paper.

Cut up small squares of tissue paper, if this is too difficult for your child you could have them rip the tissue paper instead.

Let your child fill the wings with tissue paper. Encourage symmetry if age-appropriate.

If desired you can add another piece of contact paper on the back of the butterfly to secure the tissue paper squares.

Finally, cut out the outline of the butterfly and hang on a window and enjoy!
