My 3-year-old daughter had so much fun collecting leaves outside and then coloring these worksheets as part of a fun at home leaf unit. Kids can practice using dot markers (which are great for working on fine motor skills), learn to recognize different leaf shapes, and connect what they see on the worksheet with the leaves they find outside.

This activity was a great reminder that learning doesn't always need to involve a complicated setup. Sometimes a walk outside, a few fallen leaves, and some dot markers are plenty!

How to Use the Fall Dot Marker Coloring Pages

Step 1: Download and Print the Worksheets

Download the free printable leaf worksheets and print the pages you want to use. Regular printer paper works well, although cardstock can be helpful if your child tends to press hard with markers.

Step 2: Gather Your Art Supplies

Set out dot markers, bingo daubers, or other coloring supplies. Let your child choose their colors and decide how they'd like to decorate each leaf.

Step 3: Decorate the Leaves

Encourage your child to fill in the leaves with colorful dots. They can use traditional fall colors like red, orange, yellow, and brown or create their own colorful designs.

If you have time, take the activity outside. Collect a few fallen leaves and compare them with the pictures on the worksheets. Talk about the shapes, sizes, colors, and patterns you notice.
