How to Make a DIY Bubble Wand
Create your own DIY bubble wand with pipe cleaners for a fun outdoor summer activity! Use sticks to make a nature bubble wand and experiment with different pipe cleaner shapes or add beads to create your own homemade bubble wand in just a few minutes!

These small diy bubble wands are easy to make and as long as you have pipe cleaners, you will be able to make your own homemade bubble wands as well!
I tried to make them as simple as possible, because my daughter was mostly interested in the blowing bubbles part of this activity 🙂
You can get creative if you have older kids by adding beads around the pipe cleaner, attempting unique shapes, and painting your sticks or dowels to decorate them. There are so many ways to make your own bubble wands!

Supplies
- Pipe cleaners
- Sticks or wood dowels
- Optional: Beads, cookie cutters, paint
How to Make a DIY Bubble Wand
I used a stick as the base of the bubble wand and wrapped the pipe cleaner ends around the top of the stick. If you want to add beads you can add them before you wrap your pipe cleaner around the top of the stick.
You can then create your own shape or use a cookie cutter to mold a shape with the pipe cleaners.
Dip your bubble wand in some bubble solution and have fun!
Homemade Bubble Wand Ideas
- If you do not have a stick or dowel, simply use a second pipe cleaner as the base and wrap the other pipe cleaner around the end and then create your shape.
- See how small you can make your bubbles!
- Try to make a wand that can create multiple bubbles at the same time!
- Create different shapes and see if the bubbles appear different.
There are so many fun ways to create your own bubble wands and it’s an awesome outdoor activity for kids of all ages!
