3 Ingredient Hot Cocoa Dip Recipe

This easy 3 ingredient hot cocoa dip recipe takes five minutes to whip up and is a delicious dessert for the holidays!  It is a great no bake Christmas recipe that both kids and adults will enjoy!

This hot cocoa dip is fluffy, creamy, hard to stop eating and only takes a few simple ingredients.  It is a fun sweet treat for movie nights and Christmas parties and tastes like a cup of hot chocolate fluff.

Top with sprinkles or mini marshmallows and serve it with your favorite cookies for an easy holiday dessert!

​Ingredients

  • Marshmallow Creme
  • Whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • Hot cocoa mix – store bought or a homemade hot cocoa mix would be delicious
  • Optional Toppings: mini marshmallows, crushed peppermint, holiday m&m’s, sprinkles, marshmallow bits

Directions

In a large bowl add the marshmallow fluff and whipped topping and use a stand mixer or hand mixer to blend together.

Add the hot chocolate packets and mix until creamy. 

​Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve!

Storage

Keep your leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.  

I don’t recommend freezing this dip.

  • Substitute half of the whipped topping for 4 oz cream cheese at room temperature to make an even creamier dip with a cheesecake flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces whipped topping thawed
  • 7 oz marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 cup hot cocoa mix three 1 oz packages
  • Optional Toppings: Mini marshmallows crushed candy canes, sprinkles
  • Serve with: Graham crackers vanilla wafers, shortbread cookies, apples or animal crackers

Instructions
 

  • Whip the marshmallow fluff and whipped topping together with an electric mixer on medium speed until combined.
  • Add the hot chocolate packets and mix on medium speed until creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve immediately or keep in refrigerator until ready to serve. Serve with graham crackers.

Notes

If the hot chocolate tastes gritty continue mixing until dissolved. Letting it rest for 10-15 minutes in the refrigerator also helps dissolve the hot cocoa and makes it creamy.
