I’m not sure how kids grow up so fast, but it feels like just yesterday my youngest was a baby and now he is off to kindergarten. I decided I needed to capture his little fingerprints and height and this DIY Christmas ornament craft was the perfect way to bottle up these sweet years and celebrate the holiday season.

Materials Needed
- Clear ornament
- Ribbon
- Free printable poem tag (linked at towards the bottom of this post)
- Card stock
- Curling ribbon
How to Create Your Ribbon Height Ornament
- Measure your child from head to toe and cut a piece of ribbon to match the child’s height
- Take off the top of the ornament and insert the ribbon into the ornament
- Put the top back on the ornament
- If you are having your child paint the ornament do that now and let it completely dry
- Print off the free printable poem gift tag on card stock paper
- Attach the free printable tag by cutting it out, punching a hole in the top and stringing the curling ribbon through it and tying it to the top of the bulb
- Hang on your Christmas tree to always remember these little years
