Materials Needed To Play Valentine’s Day Bingo
- Bingo game boards (free printable templates are towards the bottom of this post)
- Calling items (this is included in the printable template with the Bingo game cards)
- Marker for game board (you can use tradition bingo chips or make it fun with conversation hearts, Valentine’s Day M&Ms or dot markers)
How To Play
There are lots of different variations on how to play bingo but here are some of our go-to ways to play:
- A complete line (either horizontal, diagonal or vertical) (this is what you often will see when playing traditional bingo)
- Blackout bingo (when the entire board is filled)
- 4 corners
- Full outside square outline
- Completing the inside boxes to create a square
The first player to complete the variation you choose wins! Each card has a free space in the middle- don’t forget to remind your younger kids to cross that off as well.
Ideas When Playing This Bingo Game
Laminate your cards, this makes it easy to pull out next year and you can use dry erase markers and wipe off the cards after each game so you can play it again and again!
It’s lots of fun to have prizes for the winners- we love to choose something simple like a heart sucker or small trinket.
Don’t stop with the first winner- I highly recommend, especially when playing with a large group, to keep playing until you get 2-3 winners in a round before clearing your boards and starting a new round. This is a great way to let more kids to get a bingo which makes it fun for everyone!
