Rainbow art is such a fun way to celebrate spring and this cute rainbow cloud craft is an easy activity for a rainy afternoon or St. Patrick’s Day. It would also be a great addition for rainbow or weather units for preschoolers. Â
My 3 and 5 year old had a lot of fun making their own (very different) rainbows and using the pipettes is a great way to build fine motor skills. Â

Materials
- Cotton Balls
- Watercolor paper or cardstock
- Pipette or eye dropperÂ
- Liquid watercolors or food coloringÂ
- Glue
- Tray (optional, but makes for easier clean up)

How to Make a Cotton Ball Rainbow
Step One: Glue the cotton balls to your watercolor paper in the shape of a rainbow and place on a tray for easier cleanup. (As you can see – we did not yet have a tray, but it was very quickly added before things got out of control!)

Step Two: Fill small cups with a little bit of water and a few drops of the liquid watercolor or food coloringÂ
Step Three: Use pipettes to drop the different colors onto the cotton balls and have fun!Â
